What you can see in the picture (click to enlarge) is one of those candidates you will usually have a good portion of trouble with when FFF-printed in ABS plastic without a heated chamber. We’ve been asked to show off the capabilities of printing architectural models in ABS plastic (thanks John!) and due to its size it greatly qualifies for demoing the absence of warping or layer-delamination on big ABS prints as well.
The object’s solid base is 150x150mm, printed at 0.24mm layer thickness and 0.35mm nozzle diameter. Print bed material is clear/natural polyetherimide, will be substituted by black glass fabric reinforced PEI composite next week for enhanced dimensional stability and smarter appereance.
